The 2026 version taught me that trying to generate an animated film in an office with a Lenovo laptop could possibly take longer than me sewing puppets, backgrounds, and paper—to create something better. Here is a 53 second clip, no transitions, not quite what I want, with so many lessons learned. The primary lesson? The intersection of tools and talent (at least at the $59/mo level of AI subscription) are not ready. I’ll give it a year.
Meanwhile, I think I’ll use my remaining Envato credits to create a few short test clips for other purposes, and think about puppets and audio as a better (and frankly, less replicable) way to produce this video.
